This podcast reminds me of Garrison Keilor’s Prairie Home Companion. Interesting stories, quality voices, thoughtful ideas. I share the view that our nation needs to have many more bilingual or trilingual speakers — for many reasons. I cannot think of a more challenging time however in which that can happen. Also, of interest, the term monolingual — never heard it or used it and it sounds demeaning (as it should) — like a deficiency. Really, mono-lingualism is an example of American Exceptionalism …..
As to the podcast as a whole: Bravo. A really good listen on many levels.
