Raise Your Standard…
So in our current low bar government, wealth seems to be the watchword. And, in their words, the goal seems to be to raise the standard of living for all. (Yeah, right.) And to be clear, many T voters voted their existing or to be existing pocketbooks. Yup. Worship the dollar.
After watching the Eagles thrashing of the Chiefs, I am reminded that underdogs can and do win. Pre-game, Mahomes had multiples of folks in his corner; he was the dude who had winning on his side. Oops. Failure.
Lowly birds thumped a Chief. An all-around hungry, better team won. They got it together.
Is there a message in there for those of us displeased with the T two-peat and quest for a three-peat (yes, that requires a Constitutional change but the effort is on)? I think there is. And yes, I am looking for messages everywhere and anywhere. As in “get it together” and “get a better message now” and “get a really bold good leader (whose management team is all women)” and “get going in all phases of the game.”
Here’s a starter slogan to replace the takes the standard of living professed goal:
There you go. Chase real giving, not the Almighty $$. This approach will not only enhance your physical and mental health; it might just enhance your pocketbook with better and more productive workplaces, kinder ways to engage with each other in homes and communities and neighborhoods, thereby easing harm and creating and heralding deeper respect for the other to the betterment of us all.
Giving is my motto. The current desire of those in power: taking. In so many many ways. Bottom line: Birds can best Chiefs….if they (we) get the messaging, and then the accompanying action, right. Game on. Prep for the next season starts now.
