I saw this amazing reference (linked below) in a post that the amazing Martha Kanter made to Facebook. The source: the educational resources at The Kennedy Center (a truly moving location with an amazing new exhibit detailing the complex inspiring life of JFK). Yes, the word “amazing” is an intended three-peat.

With MLK Day upon us, simultaneously and ironically with the inauguration of one of the most divisive and hate mongering US political figures in my long lifetime, the words of the song “We Shall Overcome” and its origins and its singing by Pete Seeger take on profound meaning.
