Call Her By Her Name

A quick comment as the debate continues:

Why doesn’t Trump refer to Kamala Harris by name? He calls her “she” and “her.” My guess: he has so often mispronounced her name that his advisors told him not to use her name. I think it is disrespectful.

Lesson here: her name matters; it is Kamala Harris. Pronounce it like this: Comma La. Not that hard.

And instead of name calling, try correctly and respectfully referring to someone by her name. Donald Trump: please say her name. By my count, you have 11 minutes to do so.

Note: A friend just said suggested that by not calling Kamala by name, Trump could conflate her with Biden and diminish her as a separate entity. That said, he failed. Mightily. His strategy fell flat. And he failed the decency test too.
